Workshop findings:
The following DTC may be stored in the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 0001):
• DTC P044200 (EVAP Emissions Control System (Small Leak) Detected) with symptom code 19801.
DTC P045600 (EVAP Emissions Control System (Very Small Leak) Leak Detected).
Technical Background
The EVAP leak detection pump (GX36) internal defect is causing a false leak detection.
Production Solution
An optimized GX36 has been introduced in MY22 vehicles.
Note:
The optimized GX36 is not backward compatible with previous model years. Do not install the MY22 GX36 into
older vehicles.
Service
1. Confirm that there is no leak present in the system caused by other components. If another component is
causing the fault code, this TSB does not apply.
2. If no others failures can be found, then replace the EVAP LD Pump GX36.

Claim Type:
• 110 up to 48 Months/50,000 Miles.
• G10 for CPO Covered Vehicles – Verify Owner.
