This document is only applicable if no wiring damage is present, and if at least one of the following fault codes are found in the Porsche Stability Management (PSM) control unit: • C10BCF6 – Left parking brake motor, Engine speed implausible • C12E2F2 – Right parking brake motor, Engine speed implausible Figure 1: Yellow Warning in Instrument Cluster Technical Background The cause of this issue is currently under investigation by Porsche. If the aforementioned fault codes exist, please verify the integrity the plug connections and all wiring for the parking brake motors. 2. If no faults are found with the wiring and plug connections of the parking brake motors, please replace both of the following parts: • 9A790761600 – Electric motor • 9Y0614508PY – PSM control unit (Hydraulic unit) 3. Check the part numbers of the faulty parts. If the faulty part numbers are 9A70761600 (Electric motor) and 9Y0614508HY (PSM control unit), please contact Ben Leimkuehler with PCNA Quality Engineering at [email protected]. These parts are currently desired for analysis to support the ongoing investigation mentioned earlier in the Technical Background section. Please use the subject “E3 Parking Brake Faults – Parts for Analysis” in your email. Warranty As always, be sure to document the repair completely in PCSS. For this repair, please code the “cause” as follows: Cause location: 4685A Electric spreader device Cause symptom: 1611 No function Use the following troubleshooting labor operations: 45305500 Hydraulic unit replace • Pick from one of the following, if only one parking brake motor is replaced: 46851951 Spreader device remove and reinstall (Left) 46851952 Spreader device remove and reinstall (Right) OR • Use the following if both parking brake motors are replaced: 46852050 2 Spreader devices remove and reinstall Additional labor operations may be claimed only as needed.
