Some customers may comment on, but not limited to, one or more of the following conditions: Note: Not all of the effects or driver notifications listed have been experienced. However, the different effects and driver notifications may be caused by one of the wires in the IPC harness being chafed or cut. Components on different lines in the list below are in different circuits. Due to the cause of the condition, and the positions of the wires in the IPC harness, it is unlikely that more than one circuit and/or fuse will be affected by the condition. Condition • IPC Warning Lamps Illuminated: theft, ABS, Stabilitrac, brake warning, traction control, airbag light, door open warning, emissions light, battery charge, Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) • Intermittent and/or Inoperative Loss of Interior and Exterior Lighting: turn signals, cluster gauges, interior lights, brake lights, marker lights, back-up lamps, license lamps, center high mount stop lamp, headlights, dash lights, hazard lights, PRNDL indicator • Engine Performance Concerns: fuel Pump Inoperative (Crank/No Start), stalling, reduced engine power, misfire, runs rough • Transmission Shift Performance Concerns • Intermittent and/or Inoperative Multiple Electrical Concerns: power door locks, power windows, aux power output/cigarette lighter, radio, speakers, key fob, cruise control, wipers, horn Some technicians may find one or more DTC set. Bulletin No.: 18-NA-102 April, 2022 Page 5 Correction 5033658 1. With a suitable light, inspect the IP wiring harness point of contact. 2. Repair the harness as needed. ⇒ Refer to Wire to Wire Repair in SI. 3. Using Woven Polyester Electrical Tape (PET), tape all the contact points of the IP harness ensuring that the tape is applied in a double layer extending along the brake booster mounting bracket. ⇒ If required, replace the blow fuse in regards to repair performed on the IP harness.
