Some technicians may find DTC P06DD set.
Cause
Camshaft housing (cover) may have a baffle plate weld that is not adequate.

• If the serial number is greater than 21298JDXXX, this bulletin does not apply. Refer to
bulletin 21-NA-272 and SI for appropriate diagnostics.
• If the serial number is less than 21298JDXXX and the customer's concern is oil
consumption:
1. Replace the camshaft housing cover.
2. Replace the #2 glow plug.

Refer to Camshaft Housing Replacement in the Service
Manual and Glow Plug Replacement - Cylinder 2 in the
Service Manual.
Parts Information
Use the vehicle identification number (VIN), SI, and the
GM Electronic Parts Catalog to determine the correct
part to order.
Warranty Information
For vehicles repaired under the Powertrain coverage,
use the following labor operation. Reference the
Applicable Warranties section of Investigate Vehicle
History (IVH) for coverage information.
