Some customers may comment on transmission fluid coming from the front of the transmission.
GM Engineering is attempting to determine the root cause of the above condition. Engineering has a need to
gather information on vehicles PRIOR to repair that may exhibit this condition. As a result, this information will be
used to "root cause" the customer's concern and develop/validate a field fix.
Cause
Correction
If you encounter a vehicle with the above concern, inspect for fluid leaking from the front of the transmission and that transmission fluid is present at the bellhousing
inspection cover.
Make no repair attempts PRIOR to calling one of the engineers listed below first to confirm the area where fluid is leaking.
