Dear Dealers,
Due to ongoing production process quality checks, it has been identified in a small production
run, the DQS (Ducati Quick Shift) wiring must be checked and, if necessary, repositioned. Due
to a potential production error, the wiring may be incorrectly bent and thus be too tight, with
the potential risk of an electrical problem to the wiring during operation.
The affected vehicles are recently produced, so we ask you to update them according to the
instructions contained in the following Technical Service Bulletin during vehicle pre-delivery
operations or at the latest by the first service.

final Customers must be updated during pre-delivery operations and always before delivery to
the final Customer. All motorcycles already delivered to final Customers must undergo this
inspection as soon as they come to your workshop. Note: this is NOT a safety recall.
Parts Distribution
There are no spare parts to order. The required button tie L. 39mm (part no. 74110551A)
should be in your inventory as it is considered standard Ducati workshop material, and the
small self-locking ties are a locally available consumable.

Reimbursement for work associated with this Service Campaign will be made through the
regular warranty claim procedure using the “VIN History” section of the DCS. The warranty
claim is pre-filled and is identified as CR228.
