Any misalignment of the flanges at re-installation will cause the gasket to be unevenly compressed and make the joint prone to leakage. INSTALLATION 8. Using the 11mm socket, loosen both clamps and move them on the side. 9. Discard old gasket(s) and clean all mating surfaces with cleaning cloth, taking care not removing the alignment marks. 10. Inspect (and replace if the condition requires it) both clamps. 11. Install both gasket taking care not to rub them and using the scribed marks, align the Flexible in proper position so its flanges will sit evenly. No lubricant is allowed. 12. Positon both Clamps for easy access and tighten them evenly so the gaskets will sit accordingly. 13. Using the Torque Wrench, torque the clamps to proper torque while ensuring ¼ turn of the clamp bolt is left before final torque is reached. Otherwise, the clamp is to be discarded.
