Subject: Certain 2020MY Conventional trucks equipped with an
J08 engine.
Note: This technical service bulletin is covered under 2 year base
or 5y/100k mile emissions warranty.
OVERVIEW:
20MY Conventional trucks equipped with a bubbler filter 23304EV460 may set Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC’s) P20DE and/or
P0005, P24A1, P24A2 under some conditions. If a truck comes
into your location exhibiting these DTC’s and is equipped with the
23304-EV460 bubbler filter, replace the filter with 23304-EV023.
Note: It is also recommended that any unit in for a maintenance
bubbler fuel filter replacement equipped with the 23304-EV460
filter be changed over to the 23304-EV023 filter. Hino part
numbers will be superseded to reflect this change in the future.
FINAL INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. To complete this Technical Service Bulletin, review the bulletin
and confirm the following:
• Using Hino DX2, ensure all codes have been cleared from the
module prior to releasing the truck back to the customer.
CLAIM APPLICATION
Reimbursable in accordance within the terms and policies of the
Hino limited warranties.
