Refer to the examples below showing the most popular DTC’s which have been evident in conjunction with the afore mentioned symptoms
B11E913: Left rear turn signal bulb Open circuit
B133413: Right Brake/Turn Signal Lamp Open circuit
B16D5F4: Left tail light 2 turn signal lamp failure
B12C213: Left Tail Light Lamp Open circuit
B12C313: Right brake light bulb Open circuit
B16D5F2: left tail lamp 2 Tail lamp faulty
B16D7F1: Right rear tail lamp 2 LED faulty

Measure
To enable correct diagnosis/repair the operative must conduct the onward steps
1) Referring to rep.Gr 27 - Conduct a 12 Volt battery test and print off the results
•
Rectify any issues which were evident after conducting the 12 volt battery test
•
Connect a suitable 12 volt battery charger to the vehicle - Refer to Rep.Gr 27
2) Record a video of the reported rear lamp defect/fault, the operative must also provide feedback if the faulty lamp reported within the DIP (e.g.
indicator, brake, etc) can be illuminated (fully or partially)
Or
•
The lamp is not working to specification and/or not illuminating
Save the video as this will be required
3) Referring to the applicable wiring diagram - Conduct a wiring integrity check of the applicable/suspected faulty rear lamp ensuring the supply
voltage is to specification
4) Disconnect the plug from the suspected faulty rear lamp (with ignition switched off)
•
Wait for 20 minutes
5) Reconnect the plug
•
Using ODIS - Erase all applicable DTC’s
•
Check to confirm if the warning is evident within the DIP
•
Check to confirm the rear lamp is now working to specification
6) Should the issue now be rectified - Raise a non technical DISS query ensuring all requested information is attached (Video of the original
issue, Before and after ODIS log, battery test results)
If the issue is still evident the operative must open a new DISS query or respond via the open DISS query ensuring all
required information is provided (Video of the original issue, Before and after ODIS log, battery test results)
