Failure to follow this policy will result in claim adjustments.
Warranty reimbursement rates and quantity limits for the parts listed, with the exception of the oil part
numbers, Wynn’s Airco-clean, R134A and R1234YF are set by Volvos Parts Department and based on
the pricing in effect on the repair date. For the most current pricing retailers must refer to the parts
system.
Reimbursement rates for oil part numbers, Wynn’s Airco-clean, R134A and R1234YF are set by the
Warranty Department. Updated parts pricing for these parts are provided via a Warranty CPI.
ENGINE OIL SPECIFICATIONS
2012 and prior model year vehicles
Engine oil must meet the minimum ILSAC specifications GF-4, API SL, or ACEA A1/B1. Lower quality
oils may not offer the same fuel economy, engine performance or engine protection.
2013 – 2018 model year vehicles
Only full synthetic oil meeting ACEA A5/B5 (5W-30) requirements should be used. Lower quality oils
may not offer the same fuel economy, engine performance or engine protection.
Volvo recommends Castrol.

Only Castrol synthetic 0W-20 oil used in any engine repair or service will be reimbursed by Volvo.
