• Recall 210824 [USA]: An electrical arc increases the risk of a fire.
  Grand design rv, llc (grand design) is recalling certain 2013-2021 momentum, solitude, and reflection recreational vehicles. A 110-volt wire in the refrigerator cabinet may be improperly secured, which could result in the wire contacting the refrigerator cooling unit, causing an electrical arc.
  dealers will inspect and replace any damaged wiring, and properly secure the wires, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on february 21, 2022. Owners may contact grand design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand design's number for this recall is 910026.

• Recall 188145 [USA]: Excessive gas pressure and a larger than intended appliance flame can increase the risk of a fire.
  Grand design rv, llc (grand design) is recalling certain 2016-2021 imagine, transcend, and momentum travel trailers. The lp regulator that controls the lp gas pressure may fail, allowing excessive gas pressure that causes the appliance flame to increase.
  dealers will replace the lp regulator, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed june 24, 2021. Owners may contact grand design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand design's number for this recall is 910023.

• Recall 2022030 [Canada]: Electrical
  Issue: on certain rv trailers, a power wire behind the refrigerator may be secured incorrectly. Over time, the wire could move and contact the refrigerator cooling unit. This could damage the wire and cause electrical arcing. Safety risk: electrical arcing could create the risk of a fire. Corrective actions: grand design rv will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealer to inspect the 110-v wire in the refrigerator cavity. The wire will be replaced or secured, as necessary.

• Recall 2021328 [Canada]: Accessories
  Issue: on certain travel trailers, the propane (lp) regulator could fail. If this happens, high-pressure propane could reach the appliances. Note: this recall only affects trailers equipped with a winntec propane regulator. Safety risk: unregulated propane pressure can create the risk of an appliance fire. Corrective action: grand design rv will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer, to replace the propane (lp) regulator.

We used the gas water heater on our rig. Come to find out, it blew the cover off the water heater, burned the wires and melted the case. We are very lucky our rig did not catch fire.

The contact owns a 2020 grand design recreational momentum. The contact stated that the floor was started buckling and there were bubbles on the flooring of the trailer. The contact stated that one of the bubble was near the front bedroom towards the bathroom, and the other bubble was towards the hallway. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer however, the mechanic was unable to identify the cause of the failure however, the mechanic was willing to fix the esthetics by sanding the floors and replacing the linoleum. The trailer was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000.
