These internal-use vehicles were sold without confirmation that they were built to all applicable regulatory requirements and may have been modified prior to sale. As such, these vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of various federal motor vehicle safety standards.

• Recall 146777 [USA]: Without the blocking cap, the headlight aim can be adjusted out of specification, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
  Volkswagen group of america, inc. (volkswagen) is recalling certain 2012-2020 volkswagen passat and 2018-2019 atlas vehicles. The blocking cap disabling the adjustment of the headlight's horizontal aim may not have been installed. As such, these vehicles fail to conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."

• Recall 138555 [USA]: The loose brake bracket bolts can allow the caliper to move, reducing braking ability or causing a loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.
  Volkswagen group of america, inc. (volkswagen) is recalling certain 2018 volkswagen atlas and 2017-2018 volkswagen passat vehicles. The brake caliper bracket mounting bolts on these vehicles may not have been tightened sufficiently.
  volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the brake caliper bracket bolt tightness, replacing and re-torque the bolts as necessary, free of charge. Additionally brake caliper fasteners, bleeder valve, and brake hose bolts will be checked and torqued to the correct specification, if necessary, free of charge. For passat vehicles, dealers will also inspect the parking brake cable for proper connection, free of charge. The recall began september 14, 2018. • Recall 120790 [USA]: A low brake fluid level may lengthen the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Volkswagen group of america, inc. (volkswagen) is recalling certain 2017 passat vehicles. Brake fluid may leak slowly from the some of the brake line connections, resulting in a low brake fluid level.

• Recall 2019242 [Canada]: Lights and instruments
  Issue: certain vehicles were built with headlights that may allow horizontal adjustment. This is not allowed under canadian regulations. Safety risk: headlights that are not properly adjusted could cause reduced visibility or glare for oncoming drivers, and could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: the company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect the headlights. A blocking cap will be installed on the horizontal adjusters as necessary.

• Recall 2017056 [Canada]: Brakes
  On certain vehicles, defective brake line connections could cause brake fluid to leak from connection points. Over time, this would cause the brake fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir to become low, illuminating the low fluid level warning light. If the vehicle is operated in this condition, reduced brake function may result, extending stopping distances and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will replace affected brake lines.

I notice that the “turbo” cuts in and out when it wants to . That’s known as a. Turbo lag. As for my brakes , my rotors have grooves on them and when braking it shakes my steering wheel, scared that i’ll lose control of wheel so i have to pump my breaks to avoid costs of accident. And my air bag light is on , on the dash so my guess would be that the airbags don’t work .

I have had to have my vehicle serviced over 5 times within the last three months. There is a recurring sensor temps, air bad error, radio not working properly, and front assist sensor light error. Everything i have had to take my vehicle to a service dealer, my wheel bearing need to be changed, my tire sensor needs to be changed, and my steering wheel is shaking. This is an urgent matter that needs to be taken care of

On starting the vehicle for the first time of the day, console display indicated lane assist was disabled. It was necessary to access the menu system and re-enable lane assist. Lane assist was enabled when the vehicle was parked the previous day. Lane assist has many times somehow become disabled and cleared on the menu system while the car was parked overnight. The problem and others have been reported to volkswagen several times. After lengthy service visits since 2019, volkswagen have been unable to correct or explain the faults. Volkswagen insist no error codes have been recorded in the system. All thing considered, the ongoing absence of error codes may be yet another fault.

While driving at approximately 10 mph, the message "lane assist currently not available" was displayed and lane assist deselected in the system menu. Later, while parked, i re-enabled lane assist using the menu system. This problem, along with others, has been ongoing since 2019. Since 2019, volkswagen have been unable or unwilling to correct any of the problems experienced with the vehicle.

While stopped at an intersection with no moving traffic, the park assist enabled itself warning extreme proximity to something on the left side of the vehicle. As with other faults, the park assist faults have occurred numerous times since 2019. The lane assist system unexpectedly disabled itself while driving less than five mph on a slightly inclined driveway.

The passat autonomous braking system engaged while driving on a divided four-lane street with no traffic or obstructions. Lane assist has repeatedly disabled itself. Park assist sensors have repeatedly detected objects extremely close when nothing is present. There have been numerous other system failures. In 2019, i first reported the issues to a volkswagen service center for repair. Since that time, the vehicle has spent weeks in service with volkswagen involvement, with a report of no errors found. The faults have continued, seemingly at random, since 2019. I have supplied volkswagen with notes, photos, and videos of the failures volkswagen not state they cannot accept photo or video documentation, not will they pay for any repair even though the vehicle was under warranty until august 2020 and not repaired. I have a lot of photos and videos, as well as notes that i would be pleased to forward to you.

That there was a recall for this same issue for the clock coil i believe he called it, and i want to verify why my vehicle is experiencing this same issue and is not one of the recalled models? How do you determine that only certain models where affected, this you use different coils for different vehicles?

All three sensors came on at the same time. After having them checked, no issue was found and codes were reset. A couple of days later, all three sensors showed up again. All of this occurred while vehicle was parked, then again in motion.
