failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the
Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use
"PS43863" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If
administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim
Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If

PROBLEM
The existing calibration file on CT13 Engines in certain CT660 On
Highway Trucks can cause the engine to experience an increase in engine
RPM while idling (only in park state or if vehicle is not moving)
without providing engine protection.

ACTION REQUIRED
To prevent the possibility of engine damage, recalibrate the engine ECM
to the latest software level 3.12 or higher. This will reduce back
pressure set points and increase RPM set points.
Note: No action required if a truck was upgraded with a calibration
file after January 1, 2013. The truck would have software level 3.12 or
higher.
Program the ECM using Standard CAT CT660 AutoUpgrade Procedures.
