PRELIMINARY INFORMATION
Subject:
Check Engine Lamp with DTC P0C58 Or P0C62
Models:
2011-2013 Chevrolet Volt
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern
Customer comes in the dealer with a Check Engine Lamp with a current or history code P0C58 and P0C62.
Recommendation/Instructions
If you experience this concern and can't find a concern after checking wiring and following normal diagnosis, please
replace the Motor B Position Sensor (Resolver) to resolve the concern.
Please see the latest version of PI: PIP4840 on how to obtain the part as it is on restriction through the GM Technical
Assistance Center (TAC).
After replacement of the Motor B Position Sensor (Resolver), make sure you check that the Drive Motor Generator
Control Module (PIM) has the latest calibration.
