Follow the procedures in the applicable Service Manual for fuel tank and delivery tubing R&R.
•
When replacing the fuel tank and reusing the original fuel delivery tubes on the new tank, 2
pieces of insulation pad (SEAT TANK B) must be installed onto the new tank to prevent the fuel
delivery tubes from contacting it. Peel the paper backing to expose the adhesive then apply to the
new tank as shown in the illustration below.
NOTE: Before applying the new insulation pads, make sure that area of the tank is clean and dry.
•
When replacing only the fuel delivery tubes, the existing SEAT TANK B (insulation pad)
material can remain in place on the original fuel tank.
•
When replacing both the fuel tank AND the fuel delivery tubes, SEAT TANK B (insulation
pad) does NOT need to be installed onto the new tank due to the additional tube cushions
included with the new tubes.
