Airbag Faults: Below lower limit
Attention:
Porsche Service Personnel
Vehicle Type:
9X1
Model Year:
2012 and up
Concern:
Airbag Faults for “Below lower limit” in various ignition circuits
Information:
Shorting bars are present in airbag ignition circuit
connections. When a connection is not secure, the
bars close against the pins and short the ignition circuits together. This condition will set a “Below lower
limit” fault.
If such a fault is encountered, all connections in the
affected circuit should be disconnected, inspected,
and reconnected while ensuring a tight and proper
fit. The fault should then be checked to verify if it is
no longer present. Ensuring proper connections in
the airbag circuits will often resolve “Below lower
limit” faults.
