Introduction
Certain On Highway Trucks are experiencing failures with the front Axle front spring pin coming
loose. The bolt was not large enough in order to prevent the spring from moving side to side. The side
to side movement causes a popping noise and can allow the pin to back out.
Problem
The front axle front spring pin is backing out due to wear and misalignment of the retaining bolt.
There is usually a popping noise associated with this failure.
