A Procedure to Modify the Lower 365-1861 Shift Lever Boot Is
Used On Certain CT660 On Highway Trucks {7000}

On Highway Truck:
CT660 (S/N: TGA1-UP; TGD1-UP; TRK1-UP; TKL1-UP; TEP1-UP; TJS1-UP; TGT1-UP;
TSW1-UP; TSY1-UP)
Description of Change: A procedure to modify the lower 365-1861 Shift Lever Boot is used on
certain CT660 On Highway Trucks equipped with manual transmissions. The modified lower shift
lever boot will prevent interference with the shift tower to allow the transmission to stay engaged
during normal operation.
Adaptable To: The procedure is effective with the following machines:
• CT660 (S/N: TEP002-UP; TGA078-UP; TGD006-UP; TGT108-UP; TJS002-UP; TKL600-UP;
TRK1566-UP; TSW002-UP; TSY144-UP)
The procedure is adaptable with the following machines:
• CT660 (S/N: TEP1; TGA1-077; TGD1-005; TGT1-107; TJS1; TKL1-599; TRK1-1565;
TSW1; TSY1-143)
Rework Procedure
Use the following procedure in order to prevent interference between the shift tower and the lower
shift lever boot.
• Place the shifter bar in "neutral".

• Using a knife or scissor, trim a three inch circular hole in the lower shift lever boot centered
around the shifter bar.
