CSC-10058213-4488 Notice to Customer BRP released the 2013-10 safety recall in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act and other applicable acts because a defect that relates to motor vehicle safety exists in your vehicle. A solution was devised to address the risk whereby under very hot ambient conditions, and at low speed riding, the temperature in the engine compartment may rise and thereby increase the risk of skin burn or vehicle fire. This safety campaign must be performed on all eligible units to ensure customer safety. All components of the recall must be performed simultaneously in order to address the problem targeted by the recall. Even though you have declined to have this safety bulletin performed on your vehicle, please be advised that if you decide to have it performed in the future, your BRP dealer will be available to complete recall 2013-10 in accordance with the recall notification letter. As part of this refusal process, your dealer will ask you to document your refusal to have Safety Recall 2013-10 performed on your vehicle by signing a Repair Order stating “customer declined recall repair”. You will be given a copy of this document for your records. If you sell this vehicle, it is your responsibility to advise the buyer that this safety recall was not performed on the vehicle and that the recall repair is still available and must be performed. This notice should also be placed in the operator’s guide so that the future owner of this vehicle will be aware of this safety recall.
