SUBJECT:
THIS TSB SUPERSEDES TSB 14-01-031 TO CORRECT THE SANTA FE VERSION SCREEN IMAGE.

Dealers must perform this SeNice Campaign on all affected vehicles prior to customer retail delivery and
whenever an affected vehicle is in the shop for any maintenance or repair.
When a vehicle arrives at the Service Department, access Hyundai Motor America's "Warranty Vehicle
Information" screen via WEBDCS to identify open Campaigns.
DESCRIPTION: This bulletin describes the procedure for updating the operating system software for
certain 2014 Santa Fe , 2015 Elantra and 2015 Tucson Navigation systems . This software update revises
the system reboot logic.

WARRANTY INFORMATION:
NOTE: Submit claim using the Campaign Claim Entry Screen.
PARTS INFORMATION: An Update SD Card will be shipped to each dealership .

Note: Update SD Card for
Navigation Systems DOES NOT
contain the Map Database.

AVN GEN 3 REBOOT LOGIC IMPROVEMENT (SERVICE CAMPAIGN TT8)
Service Procedure:
1.
Automatic Navigation Operating System Software Update
With the vehicle ignition OFF and the
Navigation system off, remove the
Navigation SD Map card then insert the
Update SD Card (A) .
You may temporarily store the
Navigation Map SD card in the SD Card
holder supplied with the Update SD
Card as shown in the illustration .

Start the vehicle by using the key (B) , or
with the Start Stop Button (C).
To start the vehicle using the Start/Stop
Button (C) depress the brake and push
the Start/Stop Button once.
3.
The update will begin automatically.
If the update does not start
automatically, go to procedure (5) to
conduct the manual software update.
Update takes roughly 2-4 minutes.

The Navigation Operating System software
will continue to update until complete .
Do not turn off the vehicle, cycle the
ignition or remove the SD Card during
the update process.
Go to procedure (10) when update is
complete.
Service Procedure: Manual Navigation Operating System Software Update
5.
With the Update SD Card already inserted
and the vehicle started; illustrated in
procedures (1) and (2) above.
Press the "SETUP" button to begin the
Manual Update .
Display screen will transition to procedure
(7) below.
5b.
The Elantra will transition to an Info/Setup
screen , procedure (6) below.
5c.
The Tucson will transition to an Info/Setup
menu , procedure (6) below.

Press Setup to transition to the Info/Setup
menu shown in procedure (7) below.
7.
From the Setup menu , press "System
Update" on the display.
8.
From the System Update menu press
"Update" on the display.
9.
After the update is complete the radio will
restart and display the previously chosen
"Display Off' selection on the screen.
Default "Display Off' is set to clock as
shown in the image to the right, this could
be a blank screen or a user saved image.

Remove the Update SD Card and insert
the SD Card supplied with the vehicle .
Service Procedure:

Software Update Confirmation
Santa Fe:
Follow procedure (5) through (8) to enter
the "System Update menu to compare the
S/W VER with the after update version
outlined on the picture to the right.
NC .USA.SOP.14.034
If the software version information shown in
the image to the right does not match,
conduct the update again.
11 b. Tucson:
Follow procedure (5) through (8) to enter
the "System Update menu to compare the
S/W VER with the after update version
outlined on the picture to the right.

Follow procedure (5) through (8) to enter
the "System Update menu to compare the
S/W VER with the after update version
outlined on the picture to the right.
