Introduction
Some Standard/Luxury grade 2WD GS 350 and GS 450h vehicles may exhibit a front brake squeak
while traveling at slow speeds. A new brake pad kit, brake disc, and shim are available to reduce
the likelihood of this condition occurring . Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to improve
this condition .

or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date .

Repair Procedure
1. Conduct a road test to verify the noise condition . Noise usually occurs during stops with light
pressure applied to the brake pedal.
2. Did the front brake system exhibit a squeak or squeal noise?
• YES -
Continue to step 3 for the front brake disc replacement.
• NO - This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable Repair Manual.
3. Remove and replace the front brake disc, pad, and shim with the updated parts.

Do NOT turn or grind the new rotors.
