March 26 , 2014 APPLICABLE VEHICLES 2008-2013 2005-2011 2008-2013 2009-2013 2008-2011 , 2013 2007-2011 Highlander Prius Sienna Venza Land Cruiser Camry HV 2007-2011 2008-2012 2008-2013 2010 2008-2013 Camry Avalon RAV4 Prius PHV Highlander HV CONDITION The vehicle will not start or ready-on and the steering wheel lock is engaged so that the steering wheel may only be turned very little from side-to-side. HINT: The above listed vehicles are equipped with an LED indicator on the "ENGINE START STOP" or "POWER" switch , which will flash green in the event that the steering lock actuator is unable to disengage from the steering column. The message center may also display an error message , if equipped to do so. If the operator attempts to ready-on or start the vehicle while there is tension on the steering lock actuator, it will not be able to fully disengage when the "ENGINE START STOP" or "POWER" switch is depressed . This condition will cause the "ENGINE START STOP" or "POWER" switch 's LED to flash green and the vehicle will fail to ready-on or start. RECOMMENDATIONS Gently move the steering wheel from side-to-side to relax tension on the steering lock actuator. Once the steering lock actuator is free to disengage , the vehicle will be able to successfully ready-on . Additional information may be found in the vehicle owner's manual.
