Introduction
Some LS 460 Sport Package (Brembo® brakes) vehicles may exhibit a squeal or squeak noise from
the front of the vehicle when lightly applying the brakes at low vehicle speeds. A new front brake pad
kit has been made available to address this condition.
NOTE
It is an inherent characteristic of material and design of brake pads used in this high performance
brake system that brake noise/squeal may occur during normal operation .

APPLICABLE WARRANTY
• This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for
48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
• Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this
bulletin.

Repair Procedure
1. Conduct a road test to verify the front brake squeal.
Did the front brake system exhibit a squeak or squeal noise?
• NO - This bulletin does NOT apply. Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS),
applicable model year Repair Manual for further diagnosis.
• YES -
This bulletin DOES apply. Proceed to step 2 for front brake pad replacement.
2. Remove and replace the front brake pads and anti-squeal shims with the updated pa rts .
NOTICE
When replacing front disc brake pads, do NOT separate anti-squeal shims from pads.
The anti-squeal shims are bonded to the pad.
