Repair Procedure 1. Confirm that the condition is the rear propeller shaft (driveshaft) clunk/thunk noise. A . Test drive the vehicle and confirm the condition . B. Place the vehicle on the lift and confirm all drivetrain mounts are torqued properly. C. Are the transmission mount bolts and transmission cross member bolts torqued properly? Go to step 2. • NO - Properly torque the transmission mount bolts and transmission cross member bolts and test drive to confirm the noise is gone. If the noise is still present, go to step 2. 2. Install the NEW Propeller Shaft (driveshaft) Assembly. NOTE Reuse the spacers provi ded under the center support bearing to ensure the proper alignment of th·e center support bearing .
