CONDITION
Some MY 2012-2013 Highlander, Highlander HV, Tacoma, and Venza vehicles may exhibit a
condition where the Bluetooth mobile device ringtone volume is stuck at MAX VOLUME and cannot be
adjusted after pairing a mobile device.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Use one of the following procedures to initialize the system and unlock control of the mobile device
ringtone :
1. Attempt to turn the ringtone volume up and then back down with the audio unit volume knob
while a call is incoming .
2. Turn the audio unit volume knob 10-15 times counterclockwise, until the ringtone volume starts
to decrease, while a call is incoming.
3. Change the ringtone type on the audio unit.
