Misfire After Camshaft Replacement On The AFM Cylinders 1 4 6 And 7(Check The Part
Number On The End Of The Camshaft)

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern
You may encounter misfires on cylinders 1, 4, 6 and 7. Inspect the camshaft part numbers.
If you are replacing the camshaft on the above vehicles or engine the following will be helpful.
Recommendation/Instructions
If the cam shaft is being replaced, make sure the number on the cam shaft matches what is on the box.
The last 4 digits of the part number are stamped on the end of the cam.
12625437 L20 4.8L = 5437 is stamped on the end of the cam
12626660 L96 6.0L = 6660 is stamped on the end of the cam
12625436 LC9 5.3L = 5436 is stamped on the end of the cam
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is
resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
