Model(s) Year B8 2009 – 2013 C7 2012 – 2013 VIN Range Vehicle-Specific Equipment All With CVT transmission Condition The engine speed increases when driving downhill and using the brake pedal. Technical Background The Multitronic gearbox is equipped with a dynamic control program. When driving in hilly areas the gear ratio is continuously adjusted to the inclines. When pressing the brake pedal during a downhill grade the gearbox automatically changes down the ratio. This increases the engine braking effect and the engine speed. Vehicle speed is not increased.
