Upcoming Recall Campaigns 109 and 110
On Friday, March 29, 2013 Hyundai informed the National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration that it will conduct a voluntary safety
recall of certain 2007-2011 model year Accent, Elantra, Genesis Coupe,
Santa Fe, Sonata, Tucson and Veracruz models. Hyundai dealers will
replace the stop lamp switch on affected vehicles (Recall 110).
Additionally, Hyundai informed the National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration that it will conduct a voluntary safety recall of
certain 2011-2013 Elantra models that were manufactured in Korea.
Hyundai dealers will install adhesive strips to the headliner on
affected vehicles(Recall 109).
For both recall campaigns, Hyundai Motor America plans to begin
mailing customer letters in the second quarter of 2013. Additional
details will be sent as they become available.
