Oil Filler Cap Gasket Coming Unseated
INTRODUCTION
This Bulletin provides a procedure for reinstallation of the oil filler cap sealing ring in the event it
comes unseated upon oil filler cap removal.

SERVICE PROCEDURE / INFORMATION
•
When removing the oil filler cap, if the sealing gasket has come loose, inspect it and the receiving
groove (see photo below, left) for any dirt or debris. If any is found, remove the sealing gasket
completely and clean it along with the receiving groove in the filler cap thoroughly.
•
Reinstall the sealing gasket into the oil filler cap receiving groove until fully seated with the
squared edge up as shown in the photo below, right.
