Technical Service Bulletin • One or more of the following DTCs is stored: • DTC 02849 (Lane Change Assistant Control Module -J769 / 004 No signal/communication / 001 Sporadic), stored in the gateway control module, J533 (address word 19) • DTC 02001 (Data-Bus distance regulation / 004 No signal/communication / 001 Sporadic), stored in the gateway control module, J533 (address word 19) • DTC 02071 (Local data bus / 014 Faulty / 001 Sporadic), stored in the Lane Change Assistant control module, J769 (address word 3C) Technical Background Incorrect component installed at the factory. Production Solution The correct parts are installed in series production. Service 1. Check the fault memory entries of the gateway control module, J533 (address word 19), and of the Lane Change Assistant control module, J769 (address word 3C): • If DTC 02849 or DTC 02001 is logged in the gateway control module, then replace only the master control module (J769) of the Lane Change Assistant control system. • If DTC 02071 is logged in the Lane Change Assistant control module, then replace only the slave control module (J770) of the Lane Change Assistant control system. • If DTC 02849 and DTC 02071 are present together or if DTC 02001 and DTC 02071 are present together, then replace both the master control module (J769) and the slave control module (J770) of the Lane Change Assistant control system. 2.
