File in Section: Bulletin No.: Service Bulletin Date: PI0716A April, 2013 PRELIMINARY INFORMATION Subject: Road Debris (Mud) on Rocker Panel at Front Door Area Models: 2010-2013 GMC Terrain This PI is being revised to add the 2013 model year. Please discard PI0716. Condition/Concern 2813065 Some customers may comment that road debris (mud) is traveling up between the front doors and the rocker panels. This condition may be caused by debris working around the front of the door seal. Recommendation/Instructions Note: Whenever you drill into a metal surface, the corrosion resistance of that panel is compromised. Treat the drilled holes with GM Super Lube® to prevent corrosion. The installation of GM accessory splash guards will direct the debris away from the door seal and prevent mud from working into the rocker panel area. Splash guards are available as P/N 19170501 for front splash guards only, or P/N 19170503 for all four splash guards.
