Description: Some Tucson (LM) may experience a sound from the left or right outside mirrors. This bulletin
describes the procedure to add Loctite to the outside mirror base mounting screw.

Service Procedure:
1.
Remove speaker cover.
Be careful not to damage cover.
2.
Disconnect outside mirror wire harness.

Remove 3 mounting bolts.
*NOTE
Tightening torque: 0.7-1.1kgf.m
(6.86-10. 79N-m, 5.06-7 .96ib. ft)
4.
While holding the mirror housing remove
retaining screw and plastic anchor.

CAUTION
Be careful not to drop the
mirror.

Remove mirror pad.

Remove base cover cap as shown in the
picture.

Remove 3 screws.

Clean screws thoroughly.

Apply Loctite* to the screw as in the photo.
*NOTE
LOCTITE THREADLOCKER
BLUE 242 or equivalent.
*NOTE
Avoid the top threads.

Reinstall all three screws.

Reinstall mirror in reverse order.
