Jetta/Jetta Sportwagen, Golf,

2009–2015
All

For 2009-2014 vehicles with engine codes CJAA or CBEA:
Disconnect both O2 sensors (front and rear), start engine and let idle. Check MVB's
41/4 and 136/4 and verify have both changed from a 1 to a 0 (you may have to
drive the car 4 miles to get them to reset to 0). Also a key cycle may be required for
values to reset. This forces the ECM to re-learn the O2 sensor adaptation. Once
MVB 41/4 and 136/4 read 0, re-connect the O2 sensors, road test and recheck
for faults.
For 2012-2015 vehicles with engine codes CKRA, CVCA or CRUA:
Advised tech to go to control module OBD, DTC memory, clear all OBD DTC's
and then select basic settings," Reset oxygen sensor learned values". Road test and
reevaluate for any concerns.

Fault code 02543 000 “Brake Vacuum Sensor no Display” may be encountered in
the ABS module. This may be caused by the hydraulic brake boost function (HBV) in
adaptation value 61 being turned off (value = 0). All Passat Wagons (including
4motion) and 3.6L equipped sedans with front drive should have this function
turned on (value = 1). Change the adaptation value and verify the fault has
cleared. Additionally, it may be necessary to lock the vehicle and allow the modules
to go to sleep to clear the fault.

1. For 2009-2015 Jetta, Rabbit/Golf, GTI, 2012-2015 Beetle, Beetle
Convertible, Passat (Access Code 40975).

have a white collar cable, the correct cable will need to be used. Refer to ETKA for
the correct cable needed depending on the device being used.
