Diagnostic Tip: Diagnosing Vehicles with OnStar DTC B101D-37

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern
While diagnosing a vehicle with an OnStar concern, technicians may find DTC B101D-37 in the OnStar module
(VCIM) while checking for codes.
Recommendation/Instructions
Engineering has identified that this DTC will only display in history on the scan tool and will not cause issues with
OnStar system operation. Dealers are to disregard this history DTC and address any symptoms described by the
customer, including any additional codes that may be current.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is
resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
