Classification: Reference: FA15-004 Date: NTB15-095 November 2, 2015 2014-2015 TAXI; FRONT TRANSVERSE LINK COMPRESSION ROD BUSHING REPLACEMENT APPLIED VEHICLES: 2014 – 2015 Taxi SERVICE INFORMATION This bulletin contains information for replacement of the Transverse Link Compression Rod Bushing, which is now available as a separate replacement part. See your Nissan dealer to determine if this applies to your vehicle. 1/6 SERVICE PROCEDURE 1. Remove the transverse link from the vehicle. Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), section FSU – Front Suspension, for removal information. Rubber nub on the bushing 2. Place a mark on the transverse link as shown in Figure 1. Align the mark with the rubber nub on the bushing. NOTE: This mark will be used to align the new bushing when it is installed. Make a mark on the transverse link Figure 1 2/6 NTB15-095 3. Place the transverse link in a flat fixture that supports the transverse link on each side of the bushing as shown in Figures 2 and 3. 4. Use a suitable tool to apply force (press) the bushing until it is completely free from the transverse link. Align the rubber nub on the new bushing to the mark on the transverse link. NOTE: The bushing has 2 rubber nubs, one on each side. Either nub can be used for alignment. Mark on transverse link Figure 4 Press 6. Press the new bushing into the transverse link. Maximum force for pressing the new bushing: 49 kN (11,016 lbf) Do not use lubricant for installation. (2) Reference the Nissan Warranty Flat Rate Manual and use the Symptom and Diagnosis codes which apply to the repair performed (3) Reference the current Nissan Warranty Flat Rate Manual and use the indicated Flat Rate Time.
