Bulletin No.: PIT5463B Date: May-2016 Subject: Red LED And Current B1447-04 After Performing Canada Upgrade Bulletin 15-08-44-001 Models: 2006 Chevrolet Impala 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 2007-2009 Chevrolet Equinox 2007-2009 Pontiac Torrent This PI was superseded to update the affected model list. Please discard PIT5463A. Condition/Concern A technician may notice a red led and current B1447-04 after performing OnStar Canada Upgrade Bulletin 15-08-44-001 and completing the OnStar setup and activation. Recommendation/Instructions Verify that that there is harness for the OnStar Back Up Battery (BUB) in the vehicle. Install a new BUB in the vehicle. Cycle the ignition, cancel RAP and verify that the B1447-04 is no longer current. Clear the code. Continue with the rest of the upgrade. If there is no harness for the BUB, contact GM Technical Assistance and select the OnStar prompt for further assistance.
