OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the Post Catalyst Position O2 Sensor.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles within the following markets/countries:
EMEA.
NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or before April 25, 2016 (MDH
0425XX) equipped with 2.0L I4 Turbo Diesel Engine (Sales Code EBT) or
equipped with 2.2L I4 Turbo Diesel Engine (Sales Code EBU) with Euro Stage
6 Emissions (Sales Code NB6).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
A small number of customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)
illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find the following Diagnostic
Trouble Codes (DTCs) stored or active:

P112C - O2 Sensor 2/1 Pumping Undercurrent.
P112D - O2 Sensor 2/1 Pumping Overcurrent.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in
TechCONNECT, verify all related systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs or
symptom conditions, other than the ones listed above are present, record the issues on the
repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If the customer describes the symptom/condition listed above or if the technician finds the
DTCs, perform the Repair Procedure.
NOTE: This bulletin does not apply to the upstream (pre-catalyst) sensor. The
replacement parts should never be installed in the upstream location.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in
DealerCONNECT> TechCONNECT under: Service Info> 04 - Vehicle Quick
Reference> Hoisting> Standard Procedure.
2. Remove the post catalytic oxygen sensor if the symptom/conditions or the above
DTCs are present. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in
DealerCONNECT> TechCONNECT under: Service Info> 14 - Fuel System> Fuel
Injection, Diesel> Sensor, Oxygen> Removal/Installation> 2.2L/2.0L Diesel 1/2.
NOTE: The oxygen sensor should only be replaced with the updated design.
3. Examine oxygen sensor and identify if it is the old design (Fig. 1) or if it is the new
updated design(Fig. 2).

4. Is the oxygen sensor that was removed the old design?
a. YES>>> Install the new updated design oxygen sensor.
b. NO>>> This Bulletin does not apply. Normal diagnosis should be performed.
5. Clear any DTCs that may have been set in any modules.
6. Lower the vehicle. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in
DealerCONNECT> TechCONNECT under: Service Info> 04 - Vehicle Quick
Reference> Hoisting> Standard Procedure.
