Customer Concern:
The customer observes an MIL.
Technical Concern:
The technician is able to verify the MIL and notices fault code P0071 stored in the DME.
Service Information: PCNA is aware of this this issue. As background information, the fault is caused by the temperature
sensor not communicating with the DME via CAN.
The customer solution is to update the DME software. Countermeasure software is available as of
PIWIS tester version 17.400.010.
Be sure to enter the customer statement in the PQIS line and upload a VAL.
