• MIL on.
• Customer has problems starting the car.
• The issue usually occurs when the temperature outside is around 120°F or higher, after start-stop journeys with
longer idle speed phases and hot engine.
• DTC P310B (Low fuel pressure control, fuel pressure outside tolerance) stored in the engine control module
(ECM), J623 (address word 01) with one of the following symptom codes:
• Symptom code 6183 for 3.0 TFSI.
• Symptom code 2636 and/or 2637 for 2.0 TFSI.
• Intake air temperature is usually above 140°F (60°C) in the freeze frame data of the diagnostic log.

Check the low fuel pressure, the fuel delivery rate, and the fuel lines according to ELSA specifications. If there are
deviations, replace the fuel delivery unit. If no fault is found, delete the event memory and do not replace the fuel
delivery unit.
