SERVICE PARTS INFORMATION (TXX5)
Description: This bulletin provides the warranty extension and related service parts information for the
windshield wiper motor in some Genesis Sedan (BH) and Equus (VI) vehicles. The subject vehicles
are equipped with a windshield wiper motor which may have been manufactured with a cover seal that
was subsequently revised by the supplier.
The windshield wiper motor warranty has been extended to 10 years from the date of original retail
delivery / date of first use or 100,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
Refer to the warranty and service parts information outlined in this bulletin whenever windshield wiper
motor replacement is required.
Applicable Vehicles:
Genesis Sedan (BH): Model Years 2009 – 2012 with Production Dates of 4/30/2008 – 4/30/2012
Equus (VI): Model Years 2011 – 2013 with Production Dates of 7/13/2010 – 7/12/2012

NOTE 1: If a part is found in need of replacement while performing Warranty Extension TXX5 and the
affected part is still under warranty, submit a separate warranty claim using the same Repair Order. If
the affected part is out of warranty, submit a Prior Approval Request for goodwill consideration prior to
performing the work.
NOTE 2: Refer to the shop manual for windshield wiper motor replacement instructions.
