Mack Trucks, Inc. Greensboro, NC USA Field Service Bulletin Trucks Date Group No. Release Page 3.2016 468 001 01 1(3) Power Divider Lockout Leakage, Repair CHU, GU, LEU, LR, MRU, CXU, TD FSB 468-001, Power Divider Lockout Leakage, Repair (March 2016) On MACK vehicles built between July 6, 2015 and January 15, 2016 equipped with a MACK CRD 150 carrier, the mounting bolt hole on the driver side of the power divider housing which lines up with the fill plug is drilled through to the fill plug hole. This can create a path for a leak around the threads of the mounting bolt. The remaining five mounting bolt holes are blind. When a leak is found in this area, verify that all six mount bolts around the flange are tight. If any of the mounting bolts are found to be loose, the power divider lockout (PDLO) assembly must be removed and the gasket replaced. If all the bolts are tight, the bolt at the 3:00 position should be removed and cleaned along with the mounting hole with a residue free cleaning spray like contact cleaner. W4111064 Note: Starting January 15, 2016 production has moved to a flange headed bolt with preapplied sealant on the bolts for the power divider lockout similar to the bolts used on the nonpower divider lockout units. If there is a leak in this area on a vehicle built after January 15, 2016 there is a different problem. Note: The bolts between the two units (lockout and non-lockout) are not interchangeable due to differences in length. Note: Carriers without the power divider lockout assembly have factory sealant on this bolt. PV729-FSB468-001 USA64416 Mack Trucks, Inc.
