SYMPTOM
When you press the release button, the center console lid won’t automatically close.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
There is too much friction in the mechanism to overcome the closure spring force.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the center console lid.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Pull back on the damper arm to release it from the center console lid.
2. Press the upper lock release lever to release this end of the lid.
3. Press the lock release button to release the lid, then remove it.

4. Install the new center console lid to the center console as shown, then press the lock release button and maneuver
the lid until it clicks into the hole to secure it into place.
5. Press the lower lock release lever until it clicks into place.
NOTE: You may need to move the lid back and forth to get the pin to line up with the hole and click into place

6. Insert the damper rod to the console lid until it clicks into place.
7. Make sure the lid opens and slides normally.
