This is to revise and replace TRP 1479-D, dated 03-Jun-2016. This revision is to:
1. Extend the expiration date to 31-Dec-2018.
If additional information is required, contact your Cummins Warranty Operations Group
Leader.
Description
As new ECM calibrations are installed, the compatibility of the ECM calibration and the SCR
catalyst must be maintained. This TRP is to allow for inspection of the SCR catalyst per
TSB130099 when a new ECM calibration is installed during a repair event.
Action
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1. will be covered in the Base Engine or Emissions Control System Warranty period or CAP

Coverage period, and
2. the ESN must show as OPEN for this field action on QuickServe® Online, and
3. must have had an ECM calibration upgrade during the repair event.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
1. Inspect the SCR Catalyst. Please refer to TSB130099 and follow the repair direction
outlined.
2. Please file only for the inspection time (SRT 99-902) allowed to check the SCR Catalyst.
NOTE: ONLY inspection time (SRT 99-902) should be charged to this TRP. All other
charges associated with the replacement of the SCR Catalyst and/or ECM recalibration
can be claimed to the coverage that provides the most benefit to the customer including
Base Engine Warranty, Emissions Control System Warranty or CAP coverage (if
applicable) under failure code EQPEAW.

NOTE: SRT 99-902 is being provided to cover the labor with identifying the compatibility
of the SCR catalyst according to the TRP procedure. This SRT can be claimed with up to
a quantity of 2 (or .2 hours). 99-902 is the only claimable item for this TRP.
