Page 1 of 3 Technical Service Bulletin Number TSB140048 Revision Level Date Group Number Technical Service Bulletin Subject Leaking Diesel Exhaust Fluid From the Aftertreatment Diesel Exhaust Fluid Dosing Unit Electrical Connector Issue Multiple electrical diagnostic fault codes can be set due to diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) leaking around the aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid dosing unit electrical connector, caused by internal cracking due to freezing DEF. List of possible fault codes includes, but is not limited to; 1682, 1696, 2976, 3558, 3559, 3572, 3574, 3577, 3596, and 4251. The following engines could be affected: z z z z z ISB6.7 ISC ISL9 ISX12 ISX15 Verification During the troubleshooting process, leaking DEF around the aftertreatment diesel exhaust fluid dosing unit electrical connector is discovered.
