Issue:
The vehicle will not perform an active regeneration while in PTO or Remote modes. If the
engine is operated for an extended period of time in PTO or Remote mode, the engine can
automatically shut down to protect the aftertreatment system from severe damage, if the
high soot load shutdown feature is enabled via INSITE™ electronic service tool.
Verfication:
The vehicle will not perform an active regeneration while in PTO or Remote mode.
Resolution:
Calibrations released on November 7, 2013, which are part of the December INCAL DVD,
open up the rpm range that PTO regenerations will complete. A PTO regeneration will now
complete between the rpm range of 760 rpm to 2100 rpm. However, if the PTO speed is
above 1000 rpm, the engine load must be at least 200 ft-lb [271 N•m] to be successful.
