DESCRIPTION:
This Account Team Coverage is being issued to address certain ISX12 CM2250 air compressors and cooling system
in FDNY Ferrara chassis. It authorizes certified repair locations to replace specified cooling system components and
replace the air compressor if the air compressor plumbing has been converted from boosted to natural aspiration.
NOTE: This ATC is retroactive for repairs made on or after 01-Dec-2015.
ACTION:
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1 will be covered Regardless of coverage status, and
2 must be identified in the attached ESN list, and
3 must have already converted the air compressor plumbing to natural aspiration.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
1 Steam clean the engine.
2 Replace the air compressor. Please refer to Procedure 012-014 in the Service Manuals 2883445 and 4310646.
3 Replace the rocker lever housing, lubricating oil cooler housing and coolant thermostat. Please refer to
Procedures 003-009, 007-003, and 008-013 in the Service Manuals 2883445 and 4310646.
MATERIAL DISPOSITION:
Materials removed as a result of this field action must be scrapped.
