Service Bulletin Applies To: 2003–04 Odyssey – Check the iN VIN status for eligibility 13-088 September 19, 2013 Safety Recall: Electrical Interference May Cause Inadvertent Airbag Deployment BACKGROUND Electrical noise caused by some vehicle systems may cause damage to the SRS control unit. In some cases, this damage may lead to spontaneous deployment of the airbags. CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION Owners of affected vehicles will be sent a notification of this campaign in October 2013. Y R Do an iN VIN status inquiry to make sure the vehicle is shown as eligible. Some vehicles affected by this campaign may be in your used vehicle inventory. These vehicles must be repaired before they are sold. Should a dealership sell an unrepaired vehicle that subsequently causes injury or damage because of the recalled item, the dealership will be soley responsible to the damaged party, and will be required to defend and indemnify American Honda for any resulting claims. To see if a vehicle in inventory is affected by this campaign, do a VIN status inquiry before selling it A IN M I L E R CORRECTIVE ACTION Replace the SRS unit sub-harness with a revised part that includes a noise suppressor. P PARTS INFORMATION Replacement SRS unit sub-harness kits are currently on order. This bulletin will be revised once kits become available for order.
