Tech Line Summary Article October 2016 ATS 160701 Version 2 MIL On with DTC P2422 When Driving on Dirt Roads in Dry and Dusty Conditions AFFECTED VEHICLES 2013−17 Accord and 2014, 2015, and 2017 Accord Hybrid (non-plug-in) EDITOR’S NOTE: This article replaces the one posted in July 2016 to extend the article’s shelf life. The issue(s) covered are still being addressed. We’re aware that when driving regularly on dirt roads in very dry and dusty conditions, there can be repeated occurrences of the MIL coming on with DTC P2422 (EVAP canister vent shut valve stuck closed malfunction). We’re working on an improved repair method that we’ll be posting in an updated bulletin. In the meantime, if you get a non-Hybrid Accord in for this concern, keep redoing the current S/B 15-010, MIL Comes On with DTC P2422. If it’s an Accord Hybrid (non-plug-in), replace the canister set and canister vent tube. These are the current repair methods.
