This is to revise and replace TRP 1629, dated 23-Jun-2015. This revision is to:
1. Add Clarifying Narrative.
If additional information is required, contact your Cummins Warranty Operations Group

Description
The TRP is being issued to address ISB, ISL and ISX CM2350 units that have found fault code
1887, 3545 and/or 3583 active or inactive. Implementation of this TRP will correct the issue of

liquid impingement by applying a water shield over the SCR outlet NOx sensor.
Action
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1. will be covered Regardless of coverage status, and
2. must be on the attached ESN list, and
3. must have fault codes 1887, 3545 and/or 3583 active or inactive.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:

1. Please refer to Procedure 011-036 for Aftertreatment Selective Catalytic Reduction
Catalyst removal and installation.
2. Please refer to Procedure 019-451 for Aftertreatment outlet NOx sensor removal and
installation.
3. Please refer to Installation Instruction 4908441 for Aftertreatment Outlet Nox Sensor BoltIn Shield.
Material Disposition
Materials removed as a result of this field action must be scrapped.
