INTRODUCTION
A design change has been made to the retaining hook and reinforcement rib portions of the left front
dash speaker grille to increase retention and maintain proper fit to the dashboard trim.
COUNTERMEASURE IN PRODUCTION
The new speaker grille was incorporated into production during October, 2013 starting with the
following VINs: Legacy- E*015842 and Outback- E*240453.

SERVICE PROCEDURE/ INFORMATION
Use a plastic trim tool to CAREFULLY remove the old speaker grille from the dash as shown below.
Install the new grille by inserting the 2 front claws into their holes in the dash structure closest to the
windshield first. After the rear hook and the retaining clip are secure, confirm proper retention and fit.
